First, walk onto the bridge in the middle, grabbing two green Gems and picking up a lava rock. Further ahead on the left is another Cactus 3/7. To get the berry bush here, go into the room with the acid and grab a green rock, then head back to the bush and spit the rock into it to drop a berry and open the way ahead again. Through it are two Vases (two golds) and a Rifleman up on a platform in the center. Again, we'll take care of the level's achievement first before doing a proper run. This first challenge is pretty simple: be the first to get ten Crystals and you win. But don't be fooled by the number of Fracture Hills tips below; it may take a long time to get through, but it's no Tree Tops (from "Spyro the Dragon"). Before crossing the bridge into the last area, head left of it to find some steps going down underneath it. Spyro has been recruited to save Avalar from an evil nemesis in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. If you managed to beat him now without using any Fodder, you'll unlock: Gulp's Overlook: Complete the level without flaming or charging any Fodder. Glide to that platform for two green Gems and two Baskets (green and purple, 252/400), then pay Moneybags once more, only 100 Gems this time, to open up the portal to Icy Speedway. Jar again. Glide down to the next area with another two Earthshapers to take down. Glide off the end of this ramp, following the wall on the left, to hover up onto a ledge with an Explosive Bottle (red, green and four purples). These rockets stay in your mouth and can be shot at Gulp from a distance. Finally, head left and grab one purple and two green Gems (116/400) on the edge overlooking the starting area. As you load the game and find yourself at the start of Autumn Plains again, head to the far right side of the area to find the tower with the Zephyr portal, then step into the Whirlwind near it to go into the Metro Speedway portal. Also on this ledge are two Baskets (two purples, 101/400). You can also glide over to another ledge on the right with three Butterfly Jars. Head over the bridge that unfolds to begin. Drop down onto the next ledge below for two more Baskets (two purples), then down to the ground with three red Gems by a ladder and two Vases (two purples) by another ladder opposite, as well as the next two Cowleks. Glide over to these and climb up into the building, grabbing five purple Gems before dropping down the hole into an icy cave. Head back slightly into the opening to the right here and Flame the Explosive Bottle (gold Gem) on the left and the final Cactus 7/7 on the right for another Skill Point 8/16 (All Cacti). Once you're ready to begin, speak to Fisher. You can keep that in mind and try for it on this initial playthrough of the level if you want, but if you do get burnt by lava, you can just run through the level again later and make a beeline straight for the exit to easily get the achievement. It's still not that hard, though; just be on your guard and as they appear, Charge them away from the cauldron in the direction of the water. You now have to glide around the corner to the left from here to land on another ledge and jump to the next one with a Lava Toad who has Bone 2/8. Whether you get the Skill Point or not, head over to Spinner and then up the nearby steps to follow the twisty metal path you've Supercharged over numerous times. Talk to Corporal Glug who will give you the level's Talisman, a Ruby Bomb. Drop further down to land by the doorway (don't go through it yet) and take out the Riflemen with a slingshot here, then look left for a Tree with four red Gems behind it. As you begin, Flame the three frozen cavemen to melt their ice cubes; the first one will tell you that your aim for this level is to free the Shaman at the end. Just read on. Reportedly, you can also use these Gem Lamps to get the Hypersonic achievement if you don't have it already. You'll head through this into a wide-open area with the Jumpers; ignore them and turn right to Flame the sixth Pigeon, then continue around to the left to Flame the last two on the towers. Glide from here to another platform in the middle with an Explosive Bottle (green) and two Baskets (two purples) down a step, then over to the ledge with another Rifleman. Drop down to the area directly below this with the Headbash Chest to find the first Thief. Head around the level as before, killing at least 10 enemies to activate the Superfly gate at the top of the ladder, then climb up there. Keep it up and hit him just two more times and the battle will finally be over. Now take the Whirlwind back up to the Metro Speedway portal, then turn back around and glide left out of the room, using a hover to land on top of the large outer wall. Flame any of these, and you'll unlock: Icy Speedway: Defeat all the Snowmobiles before defeating a Hang Glider. Continue further into the room to take out two more Thieves, then get the two Baskets (two purples) on the left side of this room. This one requires you to take out all of the Snowmobiles before defeating a Hang Glider. Get the two Vases behind him first (two purples, 147/400), then talk to him to start another Orb challenge. The second Speedway in this Homeworld is somewhat tougher than the previous one. There's one more platform with two red Gems (160/400), a Thief and another berry tree so that Shorty can open up the next door. Jump up into the building nearby for three Baskets (purple and two greens), then head back out. This is a more linear level though, and you get the achievement once you've got the Talisman rather than actually having to leave the level, so it's significantly easier. Now glide back onto the platform in the middle of the lava and to the other side. Grab another lava rock before jumping over to the next platform with a gold Gem (193/400), then spit it out at the Lava Toad ahead and glide over to his platform for Bone 1/8. Charge that Earthshaper through the doorway for a Faun on the other side to destroy him with a wrecking ball. It takes some practice to memorize the path that Hunter follows, but once you've done it, the Mayor gives you Orb 43/64: Grab the Loot. That will finish up the level, so to leave here, use Superfly again and go up to the left to find the platform with Bippo, then head through the portal behind him. Now hop onto the cannon here and use it to shoot the Spiked Mine 1/8, then turn right and shoot the Sealed Chest on top of the wall. Charge into this to reveal a hidden passage behind it. Follow the wall to the left of her for another red Gem, then take the Whirlwind up to grab two reds in the portal room (62/400). Head back and take the steps by the column up to glide onto a platform with two reds, then glide around the corner onto another platform with a red Gem. Now head back out of the tunnel and drop down to the right, then head further right to enter into the other tunnel from earlier. Ignore that for now, and jump down to the platform right of Moneybags in the green acid with a red, purple and two greens, then glide over to the platform with another Ice Wizard and two Vases (two purples). Defeat the Genie in the hallway and another Shielded Thief in the next room, then destroy the two Vases on the right (two golds) and head around this room to grab three more reds, four greens and defeat another two Thieves. Now jump up onto the dinosaur skull here to find the leopard again and follow him as he jumps off until he stops at a hole near the start of this area. Turn left from here and move towards the furthest hut on the right in the distance where the fifth Lizard will hatch. Walk towards him until he throws his bombs, then quickly move back to stay out of their range. Go up it and grab the red Gem and two green Gems from the ledge at the top, then turn around and glide over the doorway to another ledge with a purple Gem (390/400). To the right of Glug is a raised platform with a Jar that has a ? Hop into the trolley to begin. Can't get the missing 2 orbs and the rest of the gems? A very easily missed Basket can be found in the area near the end of the level where the catapult is. The fourth and fifth hatch to your left by the huts. Head around the outskirts of this area to grab three reds, five purples, two Baskets (two purples), a Vase (green) and a Cactus 6/7. 11. Grab the purple, two green and three reds spread on the ground here, then talk to the Faun ahead, Spinner, to receive a challenge to break down the door by her which is trapping her friend. Continue on and take out another Tree and Bush together, then head to the right for a Butterfly Jar by the wall. With that done, backtrack through the level to Moneybag's location and drop off behind him to the area below with a Superfly gate which should be active (you need to have defeated at least 15 enemies). Grab the purple and green Gem on either side of the steps, then jump up top and grab the two red Gems (107/400) before talking to Hunter. Memorize the path to take and it won't take long to nail this one either. Head back, riding a wooden ship over the gap again. Now more Lizard eggs drop for another Orb challenge and this time, they'll hatch much faster than before. Be prepared after the sixth burglar for Hunter to veer left through the middle of the buildings and for two bags of loot to quickly drop from the next burglars. Ripto's Rage- Autumn Plains for sure, because it's massive and I love getting up on the roof and hearing the wind and flying around everywhere. Here, there is a platform jutting out of the castle to overlook a platform where Moneybags is yet again (the man gets around!). For the level's achievement, you want to avoid getting hit by Bombo throughout all three of the chases. Glide over to the platform in the middle of the lava and take down another Earthshaper with three green Gems by him (201/400). Head back to the bridge where the Parrot was and turn right for a thin ledge with another Parrot at the end. Follow him around and wait until he goes for a crystal, then quickly nab it in mid-air before he can. Turn left at its end and glide over to the next one across the gap for another four reds, then finally glide over to the Professor who somehow made it up here and talk to him for an Orb 31/64: Sowing seeds I. Shaman Tuk who was inside it rewards you with the level's Talisman, an Ice Crystal, and the portal to Autumn Plains opens here. As we enter Autumn Plains, turn left and get a purple Gem in an alcove, following the wall along to the left for four red Gems. Climbing. The Autumn Plains can be a bit misleading in its name. Speak to Sheila to receive the Talisman, a Bronze Flute, and open up the portal, then get the four Baskets here (two purples and two golds, 400/400). From the start of the level, grab a purple Gem by the wall on the right, then jump over the lava river and take out the Catbat chasing the guy around the hut. Now spit this one into the hole in the middle of the platform below, then grab the other one and head over the plant to the bridge on the other side. Make sure to jump for the high up ones though. Drop down off this ledge and take out the Firegrub, then Flame another fire under a boiler to raise the water level ahead. Once they're down, sweep the area for all of the Gems as well as two Baskets (purple and green, 227/400). Head down the step nearby, grabbing a red and two green Gems and another Basket (purple), then drop down another step for four reds and a Bee Tree. You can finally jump up from this last plant to reach Juliet in the tree who'll give you another Orb 32/64: Sowing seeds II. Back in Autumn Plains, make your way over to the ladders and up into the castle again, then head all the way through it, past the bridge leading to the Shady Oasis portal and into the next room before the steps leading down to Elora. There's another Skill Point up for grabs here, but it's a tougher one than usual, so feel free to skip it if you want. Take out another Firegrub and Bucket at the top, grab three red Gems along the wall, then head left and destroy another Bucket and three Baskets (purple and two greens). Make sure to go back up to the Superfly gate every now and again as well so your meter doesn't run out. With them taken care of, climb up the other ladder for a ? Talk to him again to start the second chase. As you drop down the steps, you'll see a Spiked Mine; we can't harm it with regular attacks, so just get the two Vases (two purples) in the corner to its left. This move is very simple; just walk into a ladder to begin climbing it and move up and down it with the . After the fourteenth gear, be prepared to either jump over a crate or shoot a TNT barrel. The achievement here is also for defeating the boss without Flaming or Charging any Fodder, and as before, the Fodder will only appear if you get hit more than twice from full health, but the difficult thing about it is that Gulp will eat any Fodder that appears to refill his health, effectively forcing you to beat the entire fight in less than two hits so that the Fodder doesn't appear at all. Finally, head right from the room to grab the green and two purple Gems from where the floating Bottle was, and drop down for a gold Gem as well that fell into the gap (97/400). Now head back out and take the steps on the other side of this area back up, then go over to the Faun by the door from earlier. Once you've avoided that, he'll now begin to fire four energy bombs at once, so be extra cautious not to walk into the explosions of the bombs as you're circling around to dodge them. Walk through it so you can hit the two Falcons as they swoop down at you. There's a small circular section behind him too with two purples and three greens. The Chicks will wait for the Falcons in the air to drop bombs down to them so they can fire them back at you; get rid of all the Chicks and the Falcons will swoop down to target you with the missiles instead, allowing you to take them out. Whether you go for it or not, hit 'Retry' to start another run. Glide over the gap and take out the two Chicks, then drop down two steps behind them for a Basket (green) on the left wall. Glide past him and onto the green Supercharge bridge in the middle of this building, then begin a Charge and head to the right through the first two Arches, jumping at the end of the path into the third Arch. Back in Autumn Plains, head left and further into the castle to find the bridge over to the smaller castle with the Shady Oasis portal. to reach Bone 4/8 and two Baskets (gold and pink) on the other side. If you want to go for it, drop down to the Supercharge gate and follow the same path as before (remember to jump to get out of the first tunnel), and as you reach Spinner the Faun again, drop down to the left and head through the Supercharge gate once more to complete a lap (careful not to crash into the sides of the gate!). Jump up to the next Parrot with two reds in front of him. Use the lava rock here to defeat the Catbat. Gulp’s Overlook is found at the very end of the long corridor in the Autumn Plains Home castle. Head back out of it and immediately right to get two Vases (two greens), then jump up the steps for another two greens and into a room with Handel. For this one, you have to take care of the eight Lizards that hatch out of the giant eggs before they can get to the villagers. Welcome to spyro_maniac.com!!! He's stuck inside a rock, but we'll leave his Orb challenges until we revisit. Drop back down outside and get the two Vases (two purples) at the base of the tower directly across from you, then head up its ramp for four red Gems. 1,000 Crystals. From up here, you can also hit the Sealed Chest on the rocky pillar in the middle. Chase him off it and down to the ground, then back up the platforms in the middle and onto the ledge again. When you arrive there, you'll be at the start of the level, so just turn right and head into the Crystal Glacier portal. Get the two Baskets inside (two purples) and speak to Krista to receive your Orb 38/64: Free the faun. Wait until the nearby Lava Toad is pushed up to you by the geyser, then glide over and Flame him, grabbing two purples (257/400) and Bone 3/8 as you land at the bottom of the stairs. Also here is the first Cactus 1/7 to Flame for an optional Skill Point. Talk to Colonel Blub. Up here, you'll find the ? Once they're both up there, I would wait for your Superflame to run out as it's possible to accidentally Flame them over the outer walls and out of the level completely, forcing you to restart the entire level! Grab the two gold Gems in the lava underneath where the pink Gem was first, then head through the gate again and jump up the lava stream nearby, going up several ledges to reach a new tunnel. Like Skelos Badlands, the achievement in this level is for getting to the end without taking any damage from the green acid, or 'hazardous water' as the achievement description puts it, so keep this in mind as you go throughout the level. Go right and around the building for two more greens and a purple, then continue around the building to defeat a Bee Tree and Killer Bush; Flame both of these guys from a distance to avoid their attacks. Walk through and drop down to the left for five red Gems and three greens, then charge the next Earthshaper into position below the Faun who will drill him, grabbing the two green Gems nearby as you do so. Get the three Baskets ahead as you walk in (three purples), then jump up the steps to where the two Guards area and get the five Vases in the small circular section behind them (five purples). Be prepared for him to randomly charge towards you at any time as well, and just Charge straight towards him as before to dodge this crushing attack. Charge the first tree by him here so he can break down the first door and grab the Baskets (two purples) and the red and two greens before heading on (26/400). If you haven't already, pay Moneybags to open it up. This should complete the level for you, so off you go, back to Autumn Plains with you. As you fly through the seventh one, Supercharge again and head straight off the ramp without jumping to land in the final Arch and finish your run. On the other side of the area is a final Young Earthshaper as well as a green and two purples along the wall (59/400). Time for the second boss battle against Gulp, but a fair warning in advance: this one is significantly harder due to the sheer length of the fight, and it's one of the hardest things you'll have to do in the entire series, in my opinion at least. Charge through the tunnel beyond it and out to jump off a ramp through another wooden gate, then follow along the twisty metal path on the other side to make it over to the giant wooden door trapping Spinner's friend; jump into it to break through. Flame him and the next one that appears on the ledge to your right, then move forwards and jump up past the caveman to the back of the village. To the right from this is the building with the Alchemist that Hunter was talking about, but if we did this challenge now, we'd only have to repeat it a second time when we revisit the level, so ignore him and head around the building on its left-hand side for another two reds and two greens, then go behind it to find three greens and a purple. Be careful and once he's up at the top, he'll hand over the second flag. Grab the purple, green and two red Gems spread around here, as well as a Basket (purple, 146/400) and defeat the Bush and Tree before jumping up to the next Satyr 4/6. Turn immediately right past it and follow the two green Gems to another cannon. Use the two plants to reach up onto the ledge in the wall with a third seed and plant this in the third hole. In the first area, avoid the bombs thrown at you by the little yellow birds, and flame em. Autumn plains & Winter Tundra: Stumped in Autumn plains? Take out the Bucket ahead through the doorway and get two purple Gems on the edge to his left and a Butterfly Jar and Basket (purple) to his right. Behind the doorway, you'll see another Parrot. If you Charge all seven of the Trees with coconuts in this level, you can get a Skill Point, so Charge this first Tree 1/7 to drop its coconut. Walk down the slope here towards Moneybags, Flaming another Ice Wizard on the way, and pay him the 200 Gems needed to create a bridge up into another area. Head over them, grabbing the two green Gems and destroying the Explosive Bottle (gold) on the left on the other side, and speak to Shaman Tok over here for an Orb challenge: you have to retrieve his lost snow leopard. Jump up onto the ramp, dodging the TNT barrels as you head up to defeat the next Parrot, then turn right around the next corner to find another cannon. To begin, spin the camera around Spyro to spot a Purple Gem and five Red Gems around the wall behind him. Now head around and free all of the frozen cavemen; they'll roll a snowball down a ramp to smash open the building in the middle. Take it slowly again, pushing him forwards and moving back out of the range of his bombs. The entrance to here is located up on a platform at the righthand side of the first part of Autumn Plains. Back in Summer Forest, you're at the very start of the level by the Glimmer portal, so head through it and down into the water by the Colossus portal to go through the tunnel into the castle, then continue on into the room with the Hurricos and Sunny Beach portals. Continue past them to begin following the path of the Serpents in the water, flaming four of them before coming to another lone Skater to the left on an island and the fifth and sixth Serpent past him. Follow along the wall from this, back towards where we started, for four reds and two greens. For this trophy you need to flame all pigeons first before flaming or charging through any other obstacle in the level. We can take these ones out, though, by Charging them into the pools of lava that are about, so dodge their attacks and Charge all five of them here into lava to defeat them. Head through the door that the Professor opens for you on the left and grab two greens and three reds, as well as another two Vases (two golds, 218/400) by the Magma Cone portal. The #1 community for all things related to the Spyro series. This activates a fan that pushes the wooden ships ahead over the gap, so hop onto one of them and ride over to the other side. Head back up the ramp and jump over to the bridge, carefully taking out the two Falcons up here, then into the tree you exploded for two Baskets (two golds, 400/400).
